New Communication Leader in Garantiqa

01/07/2008

Beni Gyöngyi has been appointed as a communication leader of Garantiqa Hitelgarancia Zrt. effective 1 July 2008. The communication specialist with many years of managing experiences worked in Magyar Hitel Bank (Hungarian Credit Bank), OTP Bank and motorway construction companies.

Originally I have a master of arts, but while I was working, I had marketing and communication studies, as well. I gained work experience in Magyar Hitel Bank and OTP Bank, where I firstly was a marketing associate and then I had a position of PR department head.
In both cases my main responsibilities were to work out the PR strategy of the bank and sponsorship. I remember some very successful support that remained tradition for several years or suited for the image and profile of the bank. Following this I spent 12 years at motorway construction companies, where I have learnt a very interesting profession, and as a communication leader and spokeswoman I have represented a matter, that was not publicly accepted. I am proud of the fact, that I could take part in the investments as well as in the developments, from the planning to the implementation.

Which of your experiences will help you in the new position?
All of them were really useful, that targeted to solve problem or task, independently it resulted success or not. Also I need all of them which were in connection with building partnership, like with colleagues' or clients. I consider the communication as a service. It is a service toward the public and also within the company. I think the success of the business communication depends on whether those individuals, who do it, can remain authentic or not.

What are your plans and expectations as far as the Garantiqa Hitelgarancia Zrt is concerned?
Well, I arrived to the company with curiosity, determination and proper humbleness. Garantiqa is a traditional firm being ready for reforms, a "special colour" in the field of financial services. It aims to achieve appreciation and wide acquaintanceship as per its market position. I and colleagues of mine would like to contribute this goal.

As a communication head with many useful experiences, who do you think will be a good leader? What characteristics (human and professional) do you think a good boss need?
It is at least so difficult question like to find out who will be a good parent. He should be a good specialist, a good expert in his work, and give his working experiences and knowledge. He has to know the goals and the way how to reach them. He should represent the company outward and the subordinates within the organisation. And one more important thing: he is expected to love working.

And how do you spend your spare time?
I like reading, I love the theatres, and if I can afford I travel and travel...but naturally the family has priority.
